RBI warns ICICI Bank against coercive ways

The Reserve Bank has warned ICICI Bank of stern action in case incidents of coercive methods by recovery agents of the bank recur, the Rajya Sabha was informed. "The bank was advised by the Reserve Bank in October, 2007 that if such incidents recur in future, RBI would be constrained to take stern action," Minister of state for Finance P K Bans

Late selling drags market

After recovering almost all its losses in the afternoon trades further selling pressure in scrips across the sectors has dragged the key indices to slips in deep red. Even the Mid-Cap and the Small-Cap indices have lost ground, the BSE Mid-Cap index is down 1.6% and BSE Small-Cap index marginally down 0.3%.
